  • Template Creation: Develop reusable email templates that can be easily customized for different campaigns and purposes, while maintaining design consistency and adhering to best practices.
  • Testing and Optimization: Test email designs across different platforms and devices to ensure compatibility. Optimize email layouts, images, and content for maximum engagement and performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the content, design, and fundraising teams to ensure alignment on messaging, design, and campaign goals. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
  • Web Content Production: Occasional web content maintenance, including selecting, cropping and uploading photos to the CMS and Web DAM.

You need...

  • Proven Experience: 2+ years of experience in email design and development, with a strong portfolio showcasing both design and coding skills.
  • Design Skills: Expertise in graphic design with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) or other design software.
  • HTML/CSS Proficiency: Strong skills in coding HTML and CSS for email, with a solid understanding of email client limitations and best practices for email design.
  • Email Platforms: Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Braze, Constant Contact, Mailchimp) and familiarity with email automation and segmentation.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain design consistency across different email clients and devices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Passion for Mission: A genuine interest in and commitment to the mission of Road Scholar, and an understanding of how email marketing can support non-profit goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
