The main purpose of this job is senior technical expert responsibility for design and implementation of an assigned technology.
The Common Data Intelligence hub provides the central BI platforms and associated tools for T-Systems. We provide the technical basis including all necessary governance processes for all users (a total of > 8,000 worldwide).
We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Azure Architect with a focus on Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Power Platform to join our team. As a central member of our agile team, you will play a key role in the architecture and authorization concept of the front end of the Microsoft Reporting Platform based on Microsoft Azure.
The ideal candidate has experience with the design of the technical platform and the governance of a global reporting platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, etc.). Working closely with self-service teams (which create reports, apps and flows) and understanding their problems is an important success factor in identifying and deriving requirements for the reporting platform.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Solution design:
The Azure architect is responsible for designing the entire architecture of the reporting platform based on Power BI, SharePoint Online, Power Apps and Power Automate. This includes identifying the requirements, creating an architectural design and selecting the appropriate Azure services and components.
Infrastructure planning:
The Azure architect plans and designs the Azure infrastructure required for the platform. This includes selecting the right Azure resources such as virtual machines, databases, network components and storage solutions. The architect takes into account the scalability, performance and security aspects of the infrastructure.
Implementation and configuration:
The Azure architect is responsible for implementing and configuring the Azure resources. This includes creating and configuring virtual machines, databases, network components and other Azure services according to the architectural design. The architect ensures that the resources are set up correctly and integrated with each other.
Security and compliance aspects:
The Azure architect takes security and compliance requirements into account when designing the platform. This includes implementing security measures such as identity and access management, encryption, firewall configuration and monitoring the platform. The architect ensures that the platform complies with applicable compliance standards.
Performance optimization:
The Azure architect is responsible for optimizing platform performance. This includes monitoring and supervising resource utilization, identifying bottlenecks and implementing optimization measures to ensure optimal performance of the platform.
Scalability and high availability:
The Azure architect plans and implements mechanisms for the scalability and high availability of the platform. This includes setting up automatic scaling, failover management and testing the platform's recovery capability. It is important to note that the exact tasks of an Azure architect in this context depend on the specific requirements of the project. The architect must work closely with stakeholders to understand the requirements and design and implement an appropriate architectural solution.
Design and implementation of scalable, highly available and secure cloud architectures on the Azure platform.
- Selecting and configuring the appropriate Azure resources according to project requirements.
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance and costs of the cloud infrastructure.
- Ensuring the security and compliance of the platform according to the applicable standards.
- Working closely with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
