As the Finance & Data Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company by driving financial strategy, optimizing processes, and delivering key insights through data to propel us forward!

Business Overview

Company one of the online gallery platforms. We enable photographers to upload their photos to beautifully-designed online galleries. Our galleries are seamlessly integrated with the highest-quality print labs, allowing clients to purchase professional-grade print products. Our platform offers powerful, simple-to-use sales & marketing tools that help photographers earn more income while spending less time marketing.

🎯 Expected Outcomes
  1. Own the Forecast. Synthesize an understanding of (i) the business, (ii) our goals, and (iii) historical financial statements to maintain:
    1. a rolling 12 month three-statement financial plan
    2. a rolling 26 week Cash flow forecast
  2. Build and maintain business-unit dashboards. Provide insightful data to our business users on a regular basis using a combination of BI tools (Tableau, Rows, Google Sheets) to access data from our analytics warehouse (in Snowflake).
  3. Opportunity identification. Leverage your understanding of the company’s financials to identify areas to increase profit and cash flow.
  4. Build accounting team & processes. After 6-12 months, transition our accounting & finance operations from an external contractor to in-house team by hiring, training, and managing 1-2 staff accountants.

👩‍💻 Required Experience
  1. Owned a Financial Forecast: Developed, maintained, and updated three-statement financial models (IS, BS, and CF) to support business planning, revenue forecasting, and budget analysis.
  2. Worked with SQL / tableau: Created and maintained dashboards and reports for business units, using SQL to extract data and Tableau to visualize key performance metrics).
  3. Worked Remotely with U.S.-based company: Collaborated effectively in a remote environment, understanding U.S. accounting standards and business operations.
Nice to have…
  1. Experience with the following tech stack:
    1. Finance: QuickBooks, Google Sheets, Excel, Stripe, Bill.com
    2. Data: Snowflake, Tableau, Fivetran, dbt, Census, Rows
  2. Worked in SaaS or E-commerce: Familiar with the financial metrics and operational challenges of subscription-based or online retail businesses.
  3. Understanding of modern digital marketing: Experience scaling businesses that rely on paid search and social, affiliate marketing, and influencer partnerships to drive revenue.
  4. Led an accounting close process: managed month-end close, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, repeatability, and compliance with financial standards.
