Description

As Legal and Judicial agencies shift towards a technology-driven workflow, VIQ Solutions is at the forefront of providing transcription services across various industries. We are seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with significant expertise in transcribing depositions and hearings. This is a 100% remote opportunity available for Independent Contractors.

The scope of work will cover depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings, demanding a meticulous attention to detail, knowledge of legal terminology, and excellent grammar. In this role, you will process audio recordings while strictly following style guides to produce accurate verbatim transcripts.

As part of our team, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and benefit from the support of our in-office team whenever needed. We offer work opportunities available 24/7/365, making it a perfect fit for various schedules—those with weekend availability are especially encouraged to apply.

Skill Requirements

Experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is required.
Excellent listening skills.
Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Ability to collaborate remotely.
Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy.
Ability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive).
Ability to pass a background check.
Familiarity with legal terminology.
Court reporting students are also encouraged to apply.
