Description

Join VIQ Solutions, a leader in providing transcription services as legal and judicial agencies transition to technology-driven workflows. We are seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with significant experience in transcribing depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. This opportunity is 100% remote for Independent Contractors.

In this role, you will be responsible for processing audio recordings with intense attention to detail, utilizing legal terminology, and producing accurate verbatim transcripts while strictly adhering to style guides.

As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and access support from our in-office team whenever needed. We offer work available 24/7/365 to accommodate various schedules, and those with weekend availability are encouraged to apply.

Skills Requirements

Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription required.
Excellent listening skills.
Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Ability to collaborate remotely.
Proficiency in typing with both speed and accuracy.
Ability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive).
Ability to pass a background check.
Familiarity with legal terminology.
Court reporting students will also be considered.
Currently, this opportunity is not available to Massachusetts or California residents.
