Job description

The Vice President, Intake will lead cross-functional teams to expand services, enhance patient care, and achieve organizational goals.


Responsibilities

  • Leads and oversees the development and implementation of operating and strategic plans for the patient services department, including but not limited to, intake, benefit verification, prior authorization, qualifying patients for service and scheduling.
  • Consult and collaborate with peers and with technology resources to develop and implement key processes and resource needs to improve operations, productivity and collection rates.
  • Ensure the identification, analysis, and implementation of solutions designed to improve collection rates, reduce bad debt and reduce day sales outstanding.
  • Collaborates with internal resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines
  • Develops and implements new business strategies and solutions to improve efficiencies and drive excellence in customer service.
  • Develops and monitors key performance indicators for service excellence, quality, and productivity.
  • Fosters a team environment that sets high standards of operations and performance, engages and inspires other to perform at their best, identifies and develops key individuals with critical capabilities needed by the organization.
  • Partners with Human Resources on staffing, talent development and succession planning, employee relations and performance management
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand services, identify growth opportunities and implement innovative solutions to meet market demands.
  • ­­­­Streamline processes and implement operational efficiencies to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitoring key performance indicators and implementing measures to continuously improve service quality and patient outcomes.
  • Serves as a role model of excellent customer service by responding constructively to the needs of the partners, management staff, and patients. Responds with courtesy and respect in a way that reflects a positive department image.
  • Visibly demonstrates a commitment to process improvement by actively seeking and using customer feedback to improve services. Being an active participant in performance improvement.
  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 10+ years of healthcare experience with an emphasis on intake/insurance verification in home infusion.
  • 7+ years in a leadership role is preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, improving financial performance, and achieving operational excellence in specialty pharmacy infusion services.
