About The Role

Are you ready to take the next step in your career within the dynamic field of property tax consulting? We're seeking a dedicated Tax Consultant to join our Personal Property Tax team. This position can be based out of our Hunt Valley, MD; Irvine, CA; or Keller, TX office, with potential for remote work for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent analyses and complete projects efficiently, identifying the next steps as needed.
  • Analyze data to help define project scopes, determine appeal strategies, and ensure project completion.
  • Provide management with recommendations for appeals and project progression.
  • Execute project plans to meet scope requirements for routine and repeatable tasks.
  • Communicate with assessors and clients to gather essential information for project success.
  • Implement and manage project plans, ensuring alignment with scope requirements.
  • Supervise team members as needed, and report analysis results and project status to supervisors and clients.
  • Oversee billing and monitor project profitability.
  • Keep all systems updated with projected revenue, timing, and staffing needs.
  • Serve as a resource for newer or less experienced staff on technical and analytical matters.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field (preferred but not required).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in personal property tax.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe.
  • Strong ability to consolidate and analyze large and complex data sets.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
