About your role
This is an exciting new opportunity to shape our financial transactions and processes, improving, optimising and automating procedures to improve overall efficiency with a focus on the adoption of best practices and new technologies.
With responsibility for key transactional functions such as accounts payable, credit control, cash allocation and billing, you will ensure an effective service is delivered at all times.
Through effective leadership and development of your team, you will ensure that ongoing training and opportunities for progression are met, enhancing the skills, engagement and knowledge of team members. Working with key stakeholders across the wider organisation, you will develop effective working relationships, fully embracing a positive and collaborative way of working and taking the lead in projects as required.
As department head you will also monitor and improve financial policies / procedures and work with auditors (both internal and external) to facilitate audits and implement any recommendations made. Accountability for month end close and balance sheet reconciliations is also a requirement of the role and to oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
