Position Overview

  • Location: Elgin, IL
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Term: Full academic year (2024-2025)
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly pay with weekly payments

Key Responsibilities

As an SLP, you will work closely with students, families, and educational teams to deliver exceptional speech and language services. Your daily duties will include:

  • Developing individualized lesson plans to meet each student’s speech and language needs.
  • Delivering speech therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and parents to provide consultations and ensure alignment in supporting student development.
  • Writing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring speech therapy services.
  • Conducting thorough speech evaluations and screenings to assess students’ eligibility for services.
  • Leading and chairing IEP meetings specifically for students receiving speech therapy.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Licensure: Active Illinois State Licensure for Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a school setting preferred (1+ years), but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
