Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing exceptional care to patients in a dynamic, supportive, and team-oriented environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Electrophysiology (EP) Providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care for EP patients. This hybrid position offers flexibility with both on-site and remote work options, with hours determined by the operational needs of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac device patients, utilizing the nursing process for individualized care.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians to manage and monitor cardiac device patients, ensuring efficient care.
  • Apply technical skills and theoretical knowledge to assist with the prevention of illness and promote wellness.
  • Educate patients and families about their cardiac devices and treatment plans.
  • Deliver age-appropriate, multidisciplinary care based on medical orders, documenting accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Work closely with Medical Assistants (MAs) and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to coordinate patient care and maintain efficient operations.
  • Schedule and document remote cardiac device transmissions for provider review.
  • Provide cardiac nursing care in an outpatient setting and assist in device clinics.
  • Support other practice clinics and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Connecticut.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN required).
  • Experience: Strongly preferred experience in cardiology and/or cardiac electrophysiology.
