Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic and growing Mechanical team. In this role, you will lead a portfolio of innovative projects across various market sectors including Commercial, Education, Government, Healthcare, and Hospitality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to guide projects from early concept through to construction completion, while also mentoring a talented team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and plan sustainable mechanical systems for buildings and facilities.
  • Lead technical communication with clients on MEP topics and act as the Engineer of Record.
  • Ensure the quality of engineering design, adhering to relevant codes and client expectations.
  • Lead assigned project teams and participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Current PE license and at least 15 years of experience in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
  • Highly technical in HVAC design with strong leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Proficiency in software such as REVIT, AutoCAD, Trane Trace, IES, MS Office, etc. for complex calculations.
  • Thorough knowledge of building and mechanical codes and standards.
  • LEED AP BD+C accreditation and WELL Certification are desired.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid-remote work environment providing flexibility to achieve a great work/life balance.
  • Must be located in Portland or Seattle and eligible to work in the U.S. to attend on-site project meetings as needed.

Salary Range

  • \(150,000 - \)175,000 (The base salary range represents the low and high end of the proposed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, actual role, and responsibilities.)
