Overview:
Responsible for the production process of Bible reprints and maintaining production schedules. This role involves coordinating with a team that includes the publisher, editor, designer, buyers, and marketing/sales. The Publishing Project Specialist will ensure that all aspects of Bible production are completed on time and to the highest standards.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. #LI-Remote
Responsibilities:
Pre-Production Support
• Oversee and schedule manuscript typesetting in cooperation with the page designer.
• Coordinate the proofreading of all assigned manuscripts after initial copy-editing corrections have been made and fresh copies printed.
• Consolidate all corrections, including those from the author, after the first page proof stage.
Project Coordination
• Ensure that all parties involved in producing the work adhere to the schedule. Lead bi-weekly status update meetings to report on each Bible project's progress.
• Ensure all remaining text corrections are accurate after the first, second, and final page proofs. Transfer final pages to the Buyer for printing and check printer proofs for accuracy.
• Serve as a backup to the Managing Editor, Bibles, as needed.
• Participate in product changes or improvements as requested.
Digital Content Management
• Place final electronic files on the network according to department guidelines upon approval of printer proofs.
Quality Assurance
• Oversee the inputting of all corrections into electronic files at each production stage.
• Create, maintain, or adapt Bible production processes to eliminate errors.
Vendor Management
• Work with outside partners who communicate in English as a second language and/or are monolingual in Spanish to ensure clear communication and project success.
• Collaborate with external vendors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in English, Project Management, Theology, or a related field; or equivalent related experience and/or training.
Experience:
• 2 years of coordinating and/or managing projects.
• Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish
