Job Description: On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity is looking for a Project Manager with information technology experience to project manage the lifecycle replacement of end-user devices to facilitate the upgrade of Windows 10 computers to Windows 11 for the organization's System Partners (approx. 20,000 machines).
Responsibilities:
• Understanding the current environment
• Develop a project plan including a work breakdown structure
• Determining and managing areas of risk
• Led the creation of criteria to determine a best-fit solution for end-user use cases
• Validating software for operation
• Detailed analysis of systems to determine software/peripheral risk;
• Lead and coordinate the work of the deployment techs keeping the IT Operations Managers informed;
• Coordination of migrating health users to appropriate client technology
• Coordination with business units and users to support the migrations
• Implement mitigation strategies for software and hardware limitations including application certification.
• Assist in the development and implementation of client device lifecycle replacement and strategy
• Create and manage an exception process for any standard deviation
• Provide communications to the partners, stakeholders, and users during the project.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
• Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, and
• Has completed a large-scale information technology project within the last three (3) years.
Rated qualifications:
• Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience driving project management in a busy, multifaceted environment (data analytics or information technology setting is an asset);
• Experience in organizational change management;
• Recent experience with client operating system migrations an asset; and
• Experience working in a healthcare and/or research environment is an asset.
