Your missions

We are recruiting for an Operations Support Manager located at Altamira, a Combined Cycle Power Plant facility located in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Reporting to the EthosEnergy, O&M Director of Operations, this critical role will be responsible for the fleet support of our Operations & Maintenance contracts. Additional functions include to support business and program development efforts for the Altamira plant. Successful candidates must have at least (5) years' experience in power plant operations and maintenance, with a minimum of (3) years in a plant management team role with fleet, regional or portfolio corporate responsibility.

This is a remote position but does require some domestic and international travel as needed for business. Applicants must be Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and oral).

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Operations Directors and Facility Managers to ensure plants are operated and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
  • Provide O&M guidance and support to facility teams and work on special projects to improve plant operations.
  • Project management to execute Greenfield mobilizations and Brownfield transitions to EthosEnergy Care, Custody & Control per EEOM mobilization/transition process and procedure, with emphasis on utilizing lessons learned and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate EEOM Operations forums at Region and Fleet levels.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of O&M standards, employee development & qualification program, performance monitoring tools, and plant CMMS systems.
  • Support EE policy and program development and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and commercial commitments.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Owner’s Representatives for projects assigned.
  • Assist with data tracking and analysis to develop trends contributing to proactive actions to ensure continuous improvement throughout EEOM.
  • Provide interim facility support as needed
  • Be a Quality Program advocate to lead and facilitate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Management of Change (MOC) processes
  • Support Benchmark / GenSuite application implementations and transactional consultancy projects.
  • Analyze and interpret data to make sound professional judgments and recommendations.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Thorough demonstrated understanding of power plant operations, including a working knowledge of O&M processes.
  • Strong fundamental understanding of Safety & Health programs.
  • Strong expertise in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Understanding of essential environmental concerns and permits as it relates to plant operations.
  • Working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Data Acquisition and Storage systems (e.g. OSIsoft Pi, GE Proficy, GP EPArchive, CEMS “DAHS” etc.)
  • Working knowledge of water treatment programs and statutory regulations.
  • Advanced competency in MS Office applications, to include MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Working knowledge of budgets, bid proposals, contract evaluation and basic accounting principles, plant economics and power pool operations.
  • Bilingual communications in both English and Spanish

Experience

  • Minimum (5) years of relevant experience in power plant operations and maintenance
  • Minimum of three years in a plant management team role with fleet, regional or portfolio corporate responsibility preferred.
  • Experience with contract administration and supply chain / procurement.
  • Combined Cycle start-up, commissioning and major maintenance experience preferred.
  • Project Management/Control experience.

Education Requirements

  • A pertinent four-year degree or commensurate experience is required with a demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement.
  • Project Management or Project Control certification a plus.
  • Quality program or systems certification a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to do walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping and lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Travel is required, mainly domestic with occasional international travel possible.
