Job description

The QA Manager leads a team of Quality Engineers and SEiTs responsible for testing multiple Accruent products and is a champion of Quality. You know good when you see it and know how to motivate teams to achieve greatness. You work tirelessly to remove roadblocks to success, embrace a culture of continuous improvement and are always willing to teach others.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Be a tireless champion of software quality. This requires proactively engaging stakeholders to identifying quality gaps, develop solutions, and deploy them across the teams.
  • Partner with stakeholders to monitor project success so Accruent delivers software updates required timelines and according to organizational quality standards.
  • Provide leadership for a team of Quality Engineers to grow and build them into an exceptional team that delivers exceptional value for Accruent.
  • Manage to a set of KPIs used to measure the success of the teams. When teams deviate from them, utilize internal processes to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
  • Embrace an automation first mentality and identify and develop new ways to ensure this happens with optimal productivity and effectiveness.
  • Cultivate a robust set of team processes and standards to promote smooth delivery of QA activities and an optimized test approach for features and stories.

You'll stand out if you have

  • Advanced interpersonal, verbal and written skills in English.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, STEM-related or Business-Related degree.
  • Have experience in the software development industry.
  • Have experience in Quality Assurance and the Agile software development methodology.
  • Experience leading a team of Quality Assurance engineers.
  • Successful experience developing and deploying best practices in software quality assurance.
  • Experience developing basic business cases to secure approval of team priorities.
  • Proven experience with the use of risk-based testing for regression testing.
  • Ability to use metrics and data to holistically assess the state of quality for a product.
  • Experience designing and deploying UI automation test suites.
  • Proven experience with performance testing techniques.
  • Self-reliant and motivated self-starter.
  • Project and task oriented with a focus on details.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Experience utilizing Robot Framework and Python for UI automation.
  • Prior experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Prior experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Experience using Jira to manage Agile software development.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS and DevOps concepts.
  • Knowledge of basic networking principles and concepts.
