Job description

This is a unique opportunity for an extraordinary personality: You will be part of our post-merger integration team at IU Group, fostering the program expansion at our Canadian university, leveraging the Germany-based team assisting with Canadian regulatory affairs.

Specifically, you will ensure that our degree programs fit the Canadian market and are coherent and specified according to Martime standards. You will orchestrate various academic teams, program chairs, regulatory requirements, and deadlines, ensuring successful rollout of new programs.

At IU, it never gets boring. New challenges await us practically daily. We move quickly and take decisions in a timely manner. We are a dynamic and virtual team that operates entirely on agile principles. Transparency, team spirit, mutual support when things get tough, and continuous improvement of our processes is what we do on a daily basis. What is special about us, is we know how to have fun even while working through the tough issues.

Your tasks

  • As Academic Director Canadian Degrees, you will report to the Director of Global Accreditations > Regulatory and oversee a team of 5 assisting with documentation and program development.
  • In this role, you will grow into a senior management position, further developing your expertise in regulatory requirements, project management, and people skills.
  • We promise you a steep learning curve, flat hierarchies, and a startup culture that you will hardly find elsewhere.

Your Profile

  • Outstanding project management skills, ideally perfected in a consulting firm
  • You have demonstrated leadership and excellent people management skills.
  • You possess a KPI-oriented leadership style with experience in P>L responsibility.
  • You have a high affinity for digital learning and strong organizational skills.
  • You are a self-starter, solution-oriented, and enthusiastic about creative solutions.
  • You are willing to engage with your team on an equal footing and inspire them.
  • You possess a PhD.

We offer

  • Be you at IU: We support and empower you to achieve your personal and professional goals. After all, your happiness significantly contributes to a positive and productive environment.
  • Work wherever you want...: Digitalization is part of our DNA. Decide for yourself which place sparks the most productivity in you. You love remote work? No problem! Would you like to work abroad for a while? Our WorkFlex Benefit makes it possible.
  • ... and flexible in terms of time: It's your job; We trust you and give you the greatest possible freedom to organize yourself.
  • Take your knowledge to a new level: Where else, if not with us? Benefit from free further training, language courses and discounted study programs. With us, there is always something new to learn.
  • Rest well: We make an effort every day, but we also take the time to recharge our batteries: with 30 days of annual vacation plus an extra day of vacation on your birthday.
  • Make your journey sustainable: Whether it's a DeutschlandTicket subsidized down to just 7 euros or a Jobrad (bike leasing) offer, enjoy the freedom of mobility for both work and personal activities, while also making an eco-friendly choice.
