Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Member Communications Manager to join our award winning DC business. 

The main purpose of the role is to create and implement communication plans & campaigns for workplace pension clients. These plans will help clients achieve their goals to improve member engagement – and help with LGIM’s business growth and retention objectives.

This is a home-based opportunity but the job holder will also be required to organise and carry out effective face-to-face activity with members to support the above objectives. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing and delivering highly effective workplace pension communication plans for a specified portfolio of clients
  • Working with the Workplace Member Communications team, maximising the impact and quality of multi-channel communications to support LGIM’s business growth and retention objectives
  • Working closely with the wider Client Relationship Management team, co-ordinating and personally delivering successful face to face activity with pension scheme members
  • Using client and member feedback, together with market knowledge to ensure the continuing evolution of client communication plans and the face-to-face activity we deliver to members
  • Personally maintaining a good knowledge of L&G DC pensions proposition and processes. Keeping abreast of legislative developments and other market activity in order to be able to discuss relevant topics in an informed manner with clients and member
  • Maximising cost effectiveness and employer satisfaction by implementing best practice in all aspects of the development and delivery of communications
  • Ensuring all activity undertaken in fulfilling the role considers the fair treatment of the end customer

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

  • Broad understanding of different media, audiences and their needs for effective communications
  • Experience and knowledge of DC product solutions and marketplace
  • Proven track record of project and stakeholder management including delivery
  • Corporate client relationship management experience in a product provider, asset manager or EBC/significant intermediary
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills – previous client-facing meeting and presentational experience is a requirement, as is the ability to articulate and convey information in a clear and compelling manner in writing and in person
  • Professional qualifications in relation to the role are desirable but not essential, for example marketing qualifications and technical pension qualifications
