We are seeking an experienced Localization Project Manager to oversee the localization process for our global projects.

The Localization Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of localization, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality translations that meet the cultural and linguistic requirements of our target markets.

The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, a deep understanding of localization processes, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage localization projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and budget.
  • Identify target languages and assess translation needs for each project, working closely with internal teams, clients, and translation vendors.
  • Collaborate with translators, linguists, localization engineers, and other stakeholders to assign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor project progress.
  • Conduct budgeting and cost estimation for localization projects, and monitor project expenses.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations, including linguistic reviews and user testing.
  • Utilize localization management tools and software to streamline the localization process, such as translation memory systems and content management systems.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to provide project updates, address queries, and manage expectations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the localization process, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and implement lessons learned for continuous process improvement, enhancing efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Translation, Localization, Project Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a Localization Project Manager or similar role, preferably in a multinational or global organization, min 3 years of experience.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of localization processes, industry best practices, and familiarity with localization tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues in the localization process.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in one or more foreign languages is a plus.
  • Professional certifications in project management or localization are desirable.
