We’re on the lookout for a Social Media Manager to join the Community Team. In this new role you’ll be joining us at an exciting time where we’re looking to refresh and rejuvenate our owned social channels.   

 
What You Will be Working on as a Social Media Manager 

 
As a Social Media Manager, you will be the primary owner of our owned social channels. You’ll be involved in strategy setting, content creation, scheduling, and reporting. You’ll work in close collaboration with the Community Team to ensure the Team17 channels are fuelled with exciting content, advising on trends to participate in, audience growth tactics and more.  

  • Responsible for the strategy and growth of all owned social channels 
  • Seek and explore new content opportunities for each channel 
  • Own the social media calendar for owned channels and game channels, working with our Community Managers to ensure everything is in the best place at the best time 
  • Develop the overall channel strategy to include future growth and new opportunities 
  • Have a close working relationship with the Influencer Relations team, utilising influencer content within the social calendar that can make the most of everyone's efforts 
  • Liaise with the Creative Services on branding and asset creation 
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Digital Marketing Teams to own the fulfilment of sales messaging i.e. Steam Summer Sale, Team17 publisher sale 
  • Dabble in other ad-hoc content creation requests – explore ways to clip streams for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and other channels to use 
  • Regular reporting to various marketing stakeholders – tracking the best metrics per platform to showcase each channels success 
  • Acting as sounding board for each titles social media strategy – from 1st party to 3rd party and beyond 

What You'll Need 
 

  • You’ll need to be chronically online, with a good working understanding of each social channel and their individual quirks 
  • A passion for all things content – from Twitch to TikTok to memes and beyond! You love trends, and you’ll regularly find ways to make content in line with what’s current. 
  • A passion for collaboration and bringing people together to showcase our games 
  • A good working understanding of social media management tools (Sprout Social would be a big bonus) 
  • A strong analytical mindset with a good understanding of which metrics are core to each platform 
  • A understanding of how Twitch would be beneficial, but not essential 
  • Working knowledge of Adobe 

 
The Interview Process 

 
The interview process is made up of 3 stages: 

  • Screening call  
  • Interview (60 minutes) – Influencer Relations, Community + Marketing – interview to include discussions around channel plans and what you would do with it 
  • Panel interview with stakeholders from across the business 

Our average process takes around 2-3 weeks but we will always work around your availability.
