The Opportunity
Experience: 1-3 years of experience
Nature of Employment: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Writing 90 to 100 articles per month (news, trends, etc.) (usually 4 to 5 articles per day)
Reviewing content for factual accuracy and general accuracy of grammar and context; ensuring that content is written as per Sportskeeda’s guidelines & checking spelling, grammar & scope of the text with the editorial team
Supporting the content team from a strategy perspective - sharing new ideas, content styles, topics, etc.
Working with the Content Manager and Assistant Content Manager(s) to improve content writing processes, increase the quality of content on the site, etc.
Track topics around the NBA, and pitch story ideas and assist the vertical lead with content strategy/plan for events.
Stay updated with the latest news and developments around the NBA and College Basketball.
Only candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience covering/writing about basketball in the US (NBA, NCAA, etc.) should apply.
Staying updated with recent developments in and around the NBA
Excellent command of the English language (US) is a must.
Should have a knack for crisp sentence composition, grammar, and syntax.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
Up-to-date knowledge of recent developments in the NBA and College Basketball—teams, players, and major events is a plus.
Understanding of social media and Social Media Trends is a Plus
