Title: US Trade Compliance Analyst                 

Reports to: Manager, Global Trade – North America         

Location: Remote      

Work Schedule: Full Time

Travel: This position may require travel to Terex sites 5% of the time          

Join our team at Terex and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated US Trade Compliance Analyst to contribute to the Global Trade Team.

This remote position will report to the Manager, Global Trade – North America. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate filing of US customs entries. The analyst will be the first point of contact for US customs brokers to provide missing HS codes and/or other details required for the customs entry.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities:

  • Function as the first point of contact for US customs brokers to ensure compliant and efficient customs clearances
  • Work closely with engineering and purchasing teams to assign proper HS classification
  • Maintain US HS database
  • Proactively review and advise on process improvement opportunities
  • Enforce US Brokerage SOP
  • Support broker audits and quarterly business reviews
  • Escalate high risk activities through management for resolution
  • Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Function as the subject expert on trade compliance related topics for multiple business locations
  • Provide SLI troubleshooting support to business locations

What you’ll bring

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in US trade compliance
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or related work experience
  • Broad knowledge of customs topics including, customs clearance process, HTSUS classification, valuation, GRIs, Rules of Origin, Anti-dumping

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed US Customs Broker preferred
  • Strong experience with cross-functional collaboration
  • Knowledge of AES filing requirements
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience using Oracle and trade automation platforms
  • Self-motivated with excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

  • Ability to multitask

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. This is the US national average for this position. The salary range may be higher or lower depending on the applicant’s location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
