  • Rate: £25:00 – £28.00 P/H

Job Description:
We are looking for a Band 6 Locum Paediatric Dietitian to join our team in Dartford on a full-time basis for an initial 3-month contract. The role is hybrid, with the flexibility to work from home on Fridays. The ideal candidate will be HCPC registered and have the right to work in the UK. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of paediatric patients, ranging from birth to 18 years, addressing various conditions such as food allergies, nutritional deficiencies, faltering growth, selective eating, and tube feeding. Experience in both paediatric and community dietetics is desirable, as it will enable you to handle a broad range of referrals and provide comprehensive care.

What your responsibilities will be for this Dietetics role?

As a Band 6 Locum Dietitian you will undertake detailed dietary assessments and develop personalised nutrition plans for children with a range of conditions including food allergies, nutritional deficiencies, faltering growth, selective eating, and tube feeding. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with families to educate and support them in managing their child’s dietary needs effectively. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Additionally, you will maintain accurate patient records, provide updates and reports as required, and contribute to the development of best practices within the paediatric dietetic service.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Dietitian
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Relevant degree in Dietetics or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in paediatric dietetics and community dietetics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid setting, with the ability to work from home on Fridays
