Client Sales Director 

Location - Remote US

To do this, we’re looking for a Client Sales Director. Do you want to lead a team of high-performing Client Account Executives within our commercial business segment at a fast growing tech company? Do you want to play a huge part in Salesloft’s continued YoY record-breaking sales growth? Salesloft is on the search for our next Inside Sales Director to coach our growing Sales Executive team to quota and booking targets.

You will lead, develop and manage one of our Account Executive teams. You will work closely with Marketing, Sales Development, Sales Operations and Product teams (as well as other business units) to be accountable for delivering against budgeted revenue and KPI goals. You will be responsible for leading the efforts to drive productivity and efficiency improvement for your team through innovation, new technologies, skill set training and process improvement.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a results-oriented, motivated and strategic leader who is laser-focused on developing a team that is responsible for growing commercial customers. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for overseeing our Client Sales Executives (CAEs) and helping them educate the market about the power of Salesloft and generating opportunities with new customers.

THE SKILL SET:

  • 2+ years of client specific sales experience or leadership experience with top talent managing complex deals to close with a track record of driving upsell/cross-sell revenue from a current customer base to achieve revenue targets
  • 2-3 years of advanced level client sales specific deal strategy experience to help CAEs navigate the most complex and critical deal cycles to close 
  • Proven track record of working with sellers to drive revenue within high growth account segment and win critical deals 
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful revenue/quota attainment
  • Experience working with top tier talent and executing strategies to drive motivation and delivery with individuals at the highest career level 
  • Expert level business acumen
  • Experience maintaining accurate forecasting data and business modeling for senior leadership
  • Experience in building and motivating sales teams, growing pipeline, and hitting revenue targets
  • Demonstrated ability to plan daily and weekly activities for an inside sales team, monitor performance, and measure results
  • Develop individualized coaching and development plans for each CAE to ensure they have a path to hit their weekly, monthly and quarterly KPIs and goals  
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s with each team member focusing on skill-improvement 
  • Conduct weekly forecast reviews with each team member focusing on deal management, staging and path to close 
  • Develop weekly team meeting content that focuses on closing most common overall team skill gaps, builds team culture and drives momentum and motivation 
  • Highly driven, proactive individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency and a belief in Salesloft’s mission. You go beyond relationship management
  • Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful
  • Demonstrated experience as a team-building leader, capable of rallying support from both direct and indirect staff to drive shared positive results
  • Preferred experience with Sales Engagement Technology

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique
  • Join our 3-week Sales Bootcamp, where you will learn our software and all the skills necessary to set you up for success, allowing you to make an impact in the market quickly
  • Begin 1:1’s with your CAE’s, understand your 30-60-90 plan, and meet & shadow current members of the Salesloft team
  • Work directly with other Sales Managers on new initiatives and ways to improve day to day operations; build the best Sales Executive team in the industry.
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Meet key partners in Account Management, Finance, Marketing, Executives etc. - they will be key relationships for you throughout your SE’s deal cycle

 

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be a Salesloft expert and feel comfortable managing your new team 
  • Have created an action plan outlining short-term and long-term goals based on your assessment, including quick wins and strategic initiatives for yourself and team 
  • Establish measurable objectives for the team, aligned with overall company goals/initiatives and sales targets

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Consistently meet or exceed your quota
  • Complete your Lessonly training to ensure you are up-to-date on negotiation best practices, new releases and more
  • Continue to focus on your Moates

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be considered a top-performing leader on the team by consistently exceeding your goals 
  • Set an example for new CAE leaders, and assist in training, onboarding and motivating new Lofters

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
