As an Information Technology Talent Acquisition Specialist at RP, you will be essential to our rapid growth by recruiting top talent to support our expansion of capabilities, customers, and programs. You will focus on technology roles across our six customer portfolios, with a particular emphasis on priority customer accounts in Health (VA & HHS), Homeland (DHS), and Defense (DOD). By building and maintaining a robust pipeline of candidates, you will help meet the diverse needs of our federal customers while also building capacity in key capability areas such as software development, systems engineering, data analytics, infrastructure support, and service desk operations.
Location Requirement: This is a remote position with occasional travel (less than 30%). The ideal candidate will be based in the DMV area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia).
Responsibilities:
- Lead IT Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for technology positions, including sourcing, interviewing, and offer management while working with hiring and capture managers to set technical requirements aligned with business growth needs
- Develop Sourcing Strategies: Create and implement effective sourcing strategies, conduct market research, and promote referral programs to attract top IT talent in competitive markets
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, including vendors and agencies, to enhance recruitment capabilities and support successful candidate placements
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with hiring managers and other stakeholders to assess and address talent acquisition needs, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives and recruitment best practices
- Promote Employer Branding: Communicate RP’s value proposition, capabilities, and mission to external talent markets, positioning RP as an employer of choice for IT professionals
- Manage Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, including managing expectations and guiding candidates through offer negotiations
- Create & Update Job Descriptions: Guide the development and revision of job descriptions for technical roles to accurately reflect position requirements and attract qualified candidates
- Engage with the Community: Maintain a presence in technical and industry communities and events to enhance RP’s visibility and attract potential candidates
- Drive Innovation and Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies disrupting the talent acquisition lifecycle, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR and Talent Acquisition team.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant military experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT recruiting, specifically in the government contracting industry
- Technical Recruiting Expertise: Proven experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and offer management for technical positions
- Industry Specific Knowledge: Strong understanding of technology roles, skills, and technologies related to government contracting, particularly in Health (VA & HHS), Homeland (DHS), and/or Defense (DOD)
- Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, including hiring managers and agencies
- Technical Expertise: Proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter with knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Clearable: Ability to work for any US employer without requiring sponsorship
