Job description

Latitude is seeking an experienced marketing and advertising attorney to support the consumer product business divisions of a global company. Applicants must have 5+ years of experience reviewing a wide variety of consumer product materials in support of marketing, advertising, e-commerce, and social media initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Prior experience at an Am Law 200 corporate law firm, a sophisticated boutique firm, or in-house with a medium to large legal department is preferred. This role is remote and is an immediate need on a part-time to full-time basis.

Minimum Qualifications of the Marketing Attorney (In-House remote contract):

  • 5+ years of consumer marketing regulatory and transactional experience, including specifically reviewing and advising on marketing practices, advertising campaigns and materials and written promotional and contracting documents
  • Experience developing marketing playbooks and training marketing teams for commercial/consumer products, applying a practical perspective to improve efficiencies
  • Experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide variety of marketing, advertising, and e-commerce agreements
  • Specific experience with Minimum Advertised Price policy is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial, business-minded and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses the ability to exercise discretion and handle confidential client matters
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in state of residence (or eligible for in-house exemption)
  • Outstanding professional references

Position Details for Marketing Attorney (In-House remote contract):

  • Type of role: Contract / Engagement
  • Schedule: Part-time to full-time on an ongoing / indefinite basis

Compensation:

  • Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $160,000 to $200,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.
  • Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
