Initially, the primary responsibilities will pertain to the preparation and prosecution of complex patents while interacting with an impressive team of engineers and scientists. You will have portfolio responsibility dependent upon on your experience and technical expertise. As you grow in this role, you will also have the opportunity deal with all other aspects of technology protection (e.g., due diligence, patent portfolio strategy, enforcement and licensing issues, etc.).

You will work closely with internal researchers and patent professionals relating to extremely important and highly innovative new patent families. Here, your portfolio assignments and responsibility will grow commensurate with your interests and abilities.

Technology:

  • physics, manufacturing and process engineering, physical chemistry, nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, digital imaging systems, optical engineering, photonics, electronic test and measurement instumentation, lasers, thin films, materials engineering, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment

Patent Agent Requirements:

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in engineering, physics, or physical chemistry
  • USPTO license
  • At least 4 years of solid patent preparation and prosecution experience.
