This highly selective law firm team is comprised of an impressive group of IP practitioners. We are looking for another top-notch patent attorney for this electrical and computer practice group, which has been steadily expanding as they continue to attract challenging work from quality clients.
This is a very team oriented and cooperative environment wherein your talent will be matched with opportunity and responsibility. In particular, associates are entrusted with substantial client interaction and must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
The focus of the work will primarily relate to the preparation and prosecution of patents for domestic and foreign clients while also supporting practice needs in other related areas (e.g., patentability, infringement, validity, and freedom to operate opinions and related analysis; portfolio strategy and management; due diligence; PTAB issues).
Here, you will be exposed to a diverse array of electrical and computer related applications (e.g., analog and digital circuits, industrial controls, biomedical systems and instrumentation, consumer electronics, RF, WiFi, digital video, wireless telecommunications, network protocols, IEEE standards, network security and protocols, cryptography, artificial intelligence (AI), web and cloud services, etc.).
Patent Attorney Requirements
- Strong academic credentials
- Minimum BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
- JD, State bar, USPTO bar
- Must have at least 1 year of full time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm
- Prior engineering experience is a plus
