The position
In line with growth of the UK obesity team, we have a new position open for our Education Facilitator, Obesity Team. The educator will join our team in a UK national role for adolescents living with obesity. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering education to key external stakeholders and people living with obesity in line with our business objectives.
As part of a dynamic team, you will be integral in executing the obesity education strategy. The successful candidate will contribute to a continually changing healthcare environment, supporting our philosophy that patients are always at the centre of our business and leveraging competencies.
It is a field-based position and involves a significant amount of travelling. The candidate can live in any part of the country.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Qualifications:
You must be a registered nurse or dietitian at Band 6 or above/G grade or above level if working within the NHS. If you are a nurse, you must be currently registered with Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) and have obesity or weight management clinical nursing experience, ideally as a specialist. If you are a dietitian, you must be registered with Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education (SCOPE) certification would be desirable but not essential.

The position will have the expectation to be flexible and will entail travel due to the areas covered in the United Kingdom. This will require a full UK driving Licence. A high demand of communication with various stakeholders will require networking capability and strong willingness to quickly adjust to new situations in a continuously developing environment.
About the department
The new position will be within the Nove Nordisk Education Facilitator Team within Clinical, Medical and Regulatory, whose purpose is to be innovative partners to lead the development of medicines (and beyond), defeat/drive change in serious chronic diseases, reduce health inequalities and improve patient outcomes in the UK.
