Job description

A Bit About Us

At Thryv, we are a team fiercely devoted to the success of local businesses. We’ve been around in one form or another for more than 125 years, always with one goal in mind — helping small businesses compete and win. We provide the technology, software and local business automation tools small business owners need to better manage their time, communicate with clients, and get paid, so they can take control of their business and be more successful.

Alongside providing leading-edge digital, marketing and directory services, we help more Australian businesses connect with their customers through the Thryv platform, giving them a world-class edge in technology.

Culture is vital at Thryv because it shapes our identity and, therefore, our measurements for growth. We have an identified set of values that hold all of us accountable to paving the way for our company success and our legacy. All of this helps us deliver results for our clients and creates success for our employees. At Thryv, making a positive impact within our team and in our local community is the reason we get out of bed every morning.

Your Future Role

At Thryv, we see every connection as a chance to unlock greatness. As a Contract Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll be central to this mission, linking exceptional talent with exciting opportunities. Your role isn’t just about filling positions—it’s about building a team that drives innovation, growth, and meaningful impact. Are you ready to help shape our talent journey?

This role is a Max-Term, Full-Time Contract Position for the duration of 14months, with the flexibility to work remotely within Australia, reporting to the Team Leader, Talent Acquisition.

Strategic Talent Mapping

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition Partner to understand long-term goals.
  • Contribute to the development of a strategic talent acquisition plan that aligns with Thryvs' vision.
  • Identify critical roles and proactively build a pipeline of exceptional candidates.
  • Provide end-to-end (360) recruitment services.

Candidate Experience Enhancement

  • Ensure a positive and engaging candidate journey throughout the recruitment process.
  • Communicate transparently, provide timely feedback, and address candidate inquiries.
  • Elevate our employer brand by showcasing Thryvs' culture and growth opportunities.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Work closely with senior leaders and the Talent Acquisition Partner, gaining their trust and understanding their strategic priorities.
  • Influence decisions by providing data-driven insights on talent trends and market dynamics.
  • Be the bridge between business needs and exceptional hires.

Continuous Process Optimisation

  • Regularly evaluate recruitment processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and reduce time-to-fill.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a well-rounded team.

Talent Market Insights

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Leverage market intelligence to attract top talent and adapt our approach.

Ideal Candidate

To stand out, you will be driven by curiosity and fueled by empathy. You thrive on connecting talent with opportunity, making every hire not just a transaction, but a transformation.

Passionate Connector

  • You excel at creating meaningful connections. Whether it’s matching a candidate’s aspirations with the right role or building relationships with stakeholders, you’re energised by the art of matchmaking.

Strategic Visionary

  • You look beyond immediate needs. Your talent mapping isn’t just about filling vacancies; it’s about shaping our team’s future. You understand how each hire contributes to our collective success.

Empathetic Communicator

  • Candidate experience is important to you. You communicate transparently, provide timely feedback, and ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression. You embody our employer brand.

Data-Driven Innovator

  • Recruitment is dynamic for you. You analyse metrics, spot trends, and propose enhancements. Whether it’s streamlining processes or championing diversity, you’re always one step ahead.

Curious Learner

  • The talent market is your playground. You stay informed about industry shifts, emerging technologies, and competitor practices. Learning fuels your ability to attract top talent.
