Your missions

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for update and maintenance of corporate and local formulas in system. 

  • Review and update production formulas based on operational needs and works with appropriate personnel to identify; improve and implement changes.

  • Initiate rework of faulty bulk batches, returned paints, aged paints and raw materials, slow moving paints in the inventory.

  • Manage the Chemist and Lab Technicians in daily Quality Control to ensure specifications of products are met.

  • Provides technical solutions to troubleshooting out-of-specifications production batches.

  • Assist Regional QHSE Manager / Group Quality in evaluation of customer complaints, Failed Batches

  • Assist Regional QHSE Manager / Group Quality  in technical training of laboratory staff

  • All other regional duties assigned by the Regional QHSE Manager.

Key tasks:

  • Part of a team driven to identify, develop and deliver innovative solutions, driven to constantly improve quality standards – 30%

  • Working closely with other specialists, including, formula support group, R&D chemists responsible for the quality control of raw materials, intermediates and finished products; operators responsible for paint production and plant maintenance. – 20%

  • Rework recommendations and reduce old stock inventories – 20%

  • Support Regional QHSE Manager in trouble shooting technical issues and customer complaints investigations. – 30%

  • Monthly reporting of functional KPIs and process improved product to Group, Regional QHSE Manager and Factory Manager – 20%

Required education, experience and job-related skills:

  • Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Polymer Science or related

  • 5 -12 years of experience paint / chemical industry

  • Experience of handling quality department, QA / QC

  • Read and write English

  • Computer literacy
