Location: Remote

Position Summary: Quaint Oak Bank is a community bank seeking an experienced finance director with strong analytical skills to assist the CFO in driving our organization's financial operations and improve financial performance. Duties for the finance director will include, setting financial targets, analyzing new potential strategic opportunities, implementing funding strategies, conducting feasibility studies, monitoring expenditures, overseeing annual insurance reviews, monitoring cash flow, evaluating investments, asset-liability management, and overseeing internal controls.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and systems to ensure company financial information is fairly stated.
  • Stay current with accounting changes/ pronouncements and industry developments, determine their effect on the Bank and implement if deemed applicable.
  • Analyze profitability and direction of current business units
  • Analyze potential new business opportunities/investments.
  • Analyze current and future funding needs and make recommendations to correct shortfalls.
  • Drive the annual budget process.
  • Monitor annual insurance reviews.
  • Drive the asset-liability management (ALCO) process.
  • Develop and document internal controls as needed to comply with FDICIA and SOX.
  • Monitor internal controls.


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior finance position within a publicly held financial institution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other business software
  • Knowledgeable in financial forecasting, accounting principles, and financial data analysis
  • Knowledgeable of FIDICA and SOX
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to make important decisions under pressure
  • Expert problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-maker
  • Possess strong leadership skills and business acumen
