BASIC PURPOSE

The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for driving the development and execution of WIKA Mobile Control’s growth strategies (GFMC 2030) in the USA. This includes execution and refinement of the business plan activities, executing primary sales and customer acquisition activities, sales management, as well as marketing and business development plans related to new and existing applications.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:

  • Increases sales of systems and components at designated customers (OEM / New Applications)
  • Partners with other areas of the business to develop and execute business/sales/marketing plans
  • Maintains current client/customer relationships in USA/ North America
  • Participates in sales efforts, prospecting of new markets and applications.
  • Serves as primary contact for WIKA Lawrenceville sales team with regards to WMC applications
  • Develops market position by locating, developing, defining and closing business with existing and new customers
  • Maintains relationships with industry and markets to expand business plans
  • Works with Marketing to manage trends and potentials by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
  • Works collaboratively with and in the team of WIKA Mobile Controls to execute go to market strategies and initiatives as it relates to the GFMC strategy.
  • Works collaboratively with Strategy and Marketing teams within WIKA globally to develop appropriate demand creation activities
  • Works with Marketing to launch new products and positioning strategies
  • Supports existing products, new product development and design
  • Identifies (sales) training needs, and work with Marketing with regards to developing material and delivery.
  • Works with WIKA Mobile Controls Headquarter on revenue and strategy growth
  • Performs other ancillary duties as requested
  • Travel up to 50%


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering (preferred), Business, or related discipline is required
  • 5+ years sales, business development and/or product marketing experience in wireless/automation/instrumentation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and exceed goals
  • Able execute both strategic and tactical business plans, including annual quotas and market/account objectives
  • Highly organized and has effective time management skills
  • Has professional integrity and strong communication skills
  • Able to work cross functionally and inter-culturally
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office & CRM
  • Strong listening and negotiation skills
