Title:Paralegal (EB-5)

Classification: Non-Exempt

Salary: $50k - $70k Depending on experience 

Reports to: 
Account Manager/Attorney

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The paralegal will assist foreign investors in establishing their eligibility for immigration benefits through the EB-5 immigrant investor program.   Assists the Attorney in collecting investor documents and filing applications with the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following; other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. 

  • Collect investor documents. 
  • Review bank records, tax returns, and other documents to determine the lawful source of funds
  • Draft narratives and prepare charts tracing lawful source of funds for attorney review
  • Prepare forms for attorney review
  • Prepare immigration packets, including completed forms, supporting documents, and cover letter, for attorney review. 
  • Communicate with clients to collect documents and keep them apprised of status of case
  • Communicate with attorneys to keep them apprised of status of case
  • Update internal time tracking and case-management systems. 

Qualification/Requirements 

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage large document flows and understand complicated rules and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel and Microsoft calendar)
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Chinese or Vietnamese language skills a plus
      

 Education/Training/Experience 

  • A Bachelor’s degree with good academic credentials is required.
  • Must be able to provide copy of college transcripts and writing samples

 

This position is open to remote or hybrid work out of our Philadelphia or DC offices.
