We are currently seeking an energetic and motivated sales professional to fill the position of
Account Manager for our
Industrial Chemical group
, specifically selling
Agriculture products and Fertilizers. We are looking for a candidate who will bring professional sales experience to this position to maintain a territory with a focus on developing relationships with existing customers and prospecting for new customers.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the
Account Manager will be responsible for the following tasks such as maintaining business relationships with clients, territory probity as well as increasing sales while offering customized solutions to customers. Ideally, this person will have experience in the agricultural field, with knowledge of fertilizers, animal nutrition and industrial chemicals. You will be responsible for prospecting, developing, and expanding business in an established territory in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

As an Account Manager, what will you be responsible for ? :
- Increase sales to new and/or existing customers by offering Quadra's superior product line during routine visits
- Develop customer accounts by proactively gathering and reviewing information (prospecting) through our various internal platforms or through external networks
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with your customers as well as with key players and departments in the Company
- Ensure excellent customer relations in line with Quadra's core values and strategic vision by prioritizing face-to-face visits; travel frequently through territory
- Participate in improving the customer experience for key accounts by suggesting appropriate solutions by identifying key decision makers and their needs
- Meet or exceed annual sales and margin targets
- Actively participate in financial forecasting exercises
- Prospection, cold-calling to seize new business opportunities
- Use your strong negotiation skills to negotiate new contracts or renewals of existing contracts
- Ensure documentation and reports are complete, accurate and submitted to other departments in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the support team on customer calls (Product Managers, Marketing, cross-selling) to optimize development, follow up and closing of sales opportunities.
- Contribute and participate in industry events
- Ensure the planning and organization of his/her time while participating in any other various projects as requested by the Sales Manager
What are the requirements and personality traits needed to be successful in this role? :
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science, Business or Marketing
- At least 5 years experience in the Industrial Chemicals space with a focus on Agriculture products and fertilizers
- Strong network and business relations
- At least 5 years experience in a B2B sales and business development/prospecting role within the distribution and/or manufacturing space
- Strong negotiation skills, proven business acumen and commercial expertise; strong business relationships
- Ability to be self-motivated, demonstrate autonomy and initiative, learn new technologies and adapt to new situations
- Be an excellent communicator and a good listener; proven presentation skills
- Possess a high degree of organization and planning skill
- Have a passion for your profession and know well how to manage your time, priorities and the associated pressure
- Excellent computer skills and a proven experience with a CRM (ideally Salesforce)
- Possess a valid driver's license and a valid passport. Travel expected to be at around 50% of time with overnights
