Job description

We are looking for a confident Junior Finance Associate to assist the team in the day to day payroll operations, accounting and analytical tasks. Duties will include managing employee expenses and reimbursement, assisting in processing payroll and reports preparation, making payments, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing accounting operations, coordinating and responding to audit queries for payroll.

Profile / Requirements

  • 0 - 1 years of Payroll operations & accounting experience
  • Relevant financial / economical education (Bachelors or Masters in Commerce)
  • Excellent quantitative skills with a great eye for detail
  • Good level of English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical / problem solver
  • General understanding of accounting principals
  • Team player

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Payroll Processing: Assisting and managing the payroll process, which involves calculating and disbursing salaries or wages to employees accurately and on time
  • Expense Reimbursement : Managing expense reimbursement process
  • Data Entry: Maintaining and updating employee information, tax details, and other payroll-related data in the payroll system.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Payroll Reporting: Preparing and generating payroll reports for management, HR, and accounting departments.
  • Problem Resolution: Addressing payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees, and assisting with payroll-related problem-solving.
  • Communication: Collaborating with HR, Admin, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination regarding payroll matters.
  • Auditing and Reconciliation: Regularly auditing payroll data for accuracy and reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the payroll function.
  • Confidentiality: Maintaining strict confidentiality of payroll information and employee data.
