About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical accounting and ESG reporting manager to support technical accounting team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards, providing technical expertise on complex accounting issues, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across 87 countries. In addition, you will be responsible to coordinate ESG reporting, together with external advisor.

The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting and reporting knowledge and an ability to operate in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. The role involves working with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external auditors to identify and resolve technical accounting issues and financial/ESG reporting matters. This position will report to the Global Group Controller.

Successful candidate will have opportunity to work remotely or hybrid from our offices in Belgrade/Subotica.

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Act as IFRS accounting subject matter expert.
  • Review accounting processes and procedures to identify areas of improvement.
  • Advise the business on the appropriate application of IFRS principles on complex transactions.
  • Prepare disclosures for Annual report and analyse the quality and content of financial statements (Annual report) from an IFRS point of view.
  • Prepare position papers for internal documentation and for auditing purposes.
  • Communicate with auditors and align on technical accounting topics and treatment in the financial statements.
  • Implement new IFRS standards.
  • Provide regular trainings (on new standards, and refreshers on existing standards)
  • Update corporate accounting manual, including cost centre structure.
  • Maintain Standard Chart of Accounts of TMF Group
  • Coordinate the testing of internal controls and ensure compliance with Internal Controls Frameworks across countries.
  • Coordinate ESG reporting, and communication with external consultant and external auditors.

About You

The ideal candidate is experienced in IFRS accounting and reporting, has Big 4 background and is able to work independently.

Ideally You Are Meeting Following Hiring Criteria

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in IFRS Accounting and Reporting
  • Proven experience in advising a business on complex accounting treatments.
  • Accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) are preferred
  • Big 4 background experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
