Job Description Summary As Grid System Integration (GSI) NAM Project Close-out leader, you are responsible to implement & maintain our Close-out and Warranty operational processes & tools, to monitor all warranty obligations for the GSI NAM portfolio (AC Solutions, FACTS, HVDC technologies and related Services) and to manage all close-out activities for the major projects. With significant growth in activity, this role is essential to ensure organisation will be ready for a safe and flawless execution transfer from Construction to Post Go Live obligations (COT, Warranty, Long Term Service Agreement)..

The mission shall result in contributing to customer satisfaction, safe operations, on time closure of the projects, strong control of the warranty budget, profitability & optimized cash flow for the company.

Essential Responsibilities: Process & Tools

  • Lead the Implementation & maintenance of Close-out and Warranty Handbook methods & guidelines following GSI PMO guidelines.
  • Proactively propose improvements to these processes & tools to the Regional Project Management and Risk & PMO and Project Control function leader.
  • Tailor them to business specifics when required.
  • Provide or/and organize trainings / assistance as required.

Close-out and Warranty projects governance

  • Ensure overall application of project close-out and warranty governance cycle.
  • Maintain a strong monitoring of the overall close-out and warranty obligations in the Region (project operational issues, Quality/Design issues, Lessons Learned)
  • Monitor operational and financial performance of close-out and warranty projects and provide the Return of Experience to the ITO team.

Operational responsibilities

  • Responsible for the budget and planning of the close-out projects transferred to the COT team.
  • Responsible for the overall warranty budget of the region
  • Responsible of the proper closing of the projects (contractual commitments ending (Bonds, Warranty, punch list,…), ERP financial close, final list of LL,…)

Warranty workload

  • Elaborate the Regional commissioning staffing plan strategy based on the projected workload
  • Participate to the estimation of the projected workload based on the existing backlog and orders forecast on a quarterly basis.

EHS

  • Strong promoter of EHS behaviors and rules.
  • Perform & Monitor Safety at every stage of Close-out and Warranty activities.
  • Support the implementation of EHS Procedures (strong focus on Electrical safety, LOTO and work at height), work instructions and Processes in coordination with GSI Regional EHS Leader.

LEAN and Quality

  • Support the implementation of other Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes in coordination with GSI Regional Quality Leader
  • Support PMs, Close-out and Services leader and quality to perform RCA for major incidents or quality issues
  • Ensures collection of key information on commissioning projects for preparation of lesson learned ‘LL” for use on future projects.
  • Initiate & participate to improvement actions on process, tools, and documents
  • Promote LEAN culture and deployment of Standard Work approach

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering or Operations degree or equivalent in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience on Project Management in the Power Industry
  • Able and willing to travel 15% including international and comply with GE travel guidelines

The salary range for this position is 118,700.00 - 158,300.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Responsabilités Essentielles

Processus et outils

  • Diriger la mise en œuvre et la maintenance des méthodes et des lignes directrices du manuel de clôture et de garantie conformément aux directives du PMO de GSI.

Gouvernance des projets de clôture et de garantie

  • Assurer l'application globale du cycle de clôture du projet et de gouvernance de la garantie.
  • Maintenir une surveillance étroite des obligations globales de clôture et de garantie dans la région (problèmes opérationnels du projet, problèmes de qualité/conception, leçons apprises)
  • Surveiller les performances opérationnelles et financières des projets de clôture et de garantie et fournir le retour d'expérience à l'équipe ITO.

Responsabilités opérationnelles

  • Responsable du budget et de la planification des projets de clôture transférés à l'équipe COT.
  • Responsable du budget global de garantie de la région
  • Responsable de la bonne clôture des projets (fin des engagements contractuels (Cautions, Garantie, punch list,…), clôture financière ERP, liste finale des LL,…)

Charge de travail de garantie

  • Élaborer la stratégie du plan de dotation en personnel de mise en service régional en fonction de la charge de travail projetée.
  • Participer à l'estimation de la charge de travail projetée en fonction du carnet de commandes existant et des commandes prévues sur une base trimestrielle.

EHS

  • Fort promoteur des comportements et des règles EHS.
  • Effectuer et surveiller la sécurité à chaque étape des activités de clôture et de garantie.
  • Soutenir la mise en œuvre des procédures EHS (forte concentration sur la sécurité électrique, LOTO et travail en hauteur), des instructions de travail et des processus en coordination avec le leader EHS régional de GSI.

LEAN et Qualité

  • Soutenir la mise en œuvre d'autres procédures qualité, instructions de travail et processus en coordination avec le responsable qualité régional de GSI.
  • Soutenir les PM, le responsable de la clôture et des services et la qualité pour effectuer le RCA en cas d'incidents majeurs ou de problèmes de qualité.
  • Assure la collecte d’informations clés sur la mise en service des projets pour la préparation des leçons apprises « LL » à utiliser sur les projets futurs.
  • Initier et participer aux actions d'amélioration des processus, des outils et des documents
  • Promouvoir la culture LEAN et le déploiement de l’approche Standard Work

Exigences

  • Diplôme en génie électrique ou en opérations ou équivalent en ingénierie
  • Minimum 10 ans d'expérience en gestion de projet dans le secteur de l'énergie
  • Capable et disposé à voyager 15 %, y compris à l'international, et à se conformer aux directives de voyage de GE
