Key Account Manager – Pharmaceuticals (Speciality Brands)

Role: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Field based: Stuttgart, Ulm, Augsburg, Ingolstadt, Aalen


The Role

Due to continued global company growth, we’re seeking a Key Account Manager to join our friendly team in Germany and manage the target group of physicians with a therapeutic focus on Oncology / Haematology. The main goal of your role will be to hit sales targets for several defined focus products for Speciality Brands products with specific focus is on Urology / Oncology / Haematology and New Product Launches in the region.


Your role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Regular visits and expert advice from selected physicians (Specific focus is on Oncology / Haematology)
  • Conduct effective discussions with the target group in a result-oriented manner and close them in a result-oriented manner
  • Delivery of samples and information material
  • Support for special customer groups (quality circles, networkers, etc.)
  • Development and implementation of target-oriented marketing and sales strategies
  • Conducting area and outcome analyses
  • Observation and recording of market and competitive developments
  • Organization and alignment of customer events and training measures including cost and budget management
  • Holding specialist lectures in specialist groups and participating in trade fairs and conferences
  • Handling of the administration (creation of customer analyses, tour planning, preparation and follow-up of discussions in the responsible area, reporting)


The Person

  • Previous professional experience in the pharmaceutical area in a similar role with relevant network in the Oncology / Haematology
  • Language: Expert/fluent communicator in German language and excellent knowledge of written and spoken scientific English
  • Expertise in the pharmaceutical/healthcare sector and understanding of the national healthcare system
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experienced with Office 365, especially Excel tools and CRM-based systems
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships and to solve problems
  • University degree in health economics, economics, pharmacy, medicine or natural sciences or comparable education
  • Sales and goal-oriented processing
  • Analytical thinking and acting
  • Drivability / willingness to travel
  • Ethical behavior within the framework of AMG, HWG, Codex and our corporate values
