Overview

JOB DESCRIPTION

The product manager will develop our portfolio of managed and professional services for Utilities. You will be familiar with the Utilities market and customer needs and generate new ideas and drive improvements to increase market share. The Product Manager Utilities Services will focus on all Utilities segments, with water metering and sensoring as priority. You will own the product vision and roadmap for Utilities services and drive alignment towards it across the business and with external partners. They will work with the rest of the Utilities product team to drive alignment of our offerings across the portfolio.

The role

  • To maximise growth in metering and sensoring and deliver critical product development activities and product management best practice
  • Own and drive the Arqiva vision and strategy for growth of Utilities Services to support solutions Informed by market standards and technology trends and Informed by customer needs
  • Business case creation for investments in new services capability to maximise sales opportunity with roadmap
  • Drive Innovation especially based on customer needs for unified service wrap across multiple technologies and 3rd parties especially for meter installations, maintenance and financing
  • Oversight of performance against products & services manage early life issues. continuous service improvement , scaling, optimisation and improvements
  • Work collaboratively with the operational teams to impact assess new products and changes and ensure the business is aligned and ready to service the products.
  • Product lead for engagement with partners suppliers (installation, network,manufacturers ) for product roadmap and development activities
  • Work with procurement to agree appropriate contracting methods and support with the ongoing management of the contracts.
  • Drive alignment between water metering and energy developments
  • Contribute to and promote product management best practice in Arqiva

The role

  • Extensive experience in working in an operational/ service environment, B2B and B2B2C
  • Commercial, technology and/or operational experience
  • Product management experience in B2B environment
  • Knowledge of Utilities market customer expectations and needs
  • Knowledge of metering installations and maintenance
  • Knowledge of waterfall and agile product development methodologies
  • Significant experience acting as a product owner in a cross functional product development
