Job Summary
Guardian is looking for a Sr. Motion Graphics Designer who is experienced in developing, designing, and completing videos that delight our audiences and drive engagement. This role will work within our internal Creative team to conceptualize motion graphics video projects and bring them to life across our digital channels!
Responsibilities
- Work with Enterprise Marketing and other teams to conceptualize unique, shareable, and stand-out video assets for campaigns, internal communications, and social channels
- Have a passion for visual storytelling with strong conceptual and creative thinking skills
- Understanding of video and animation production workflows
- Ensure design standards and brand guidelines are followed
- Be organized and follow best practices for media storage and project organization
- Have the ability to take a project from concept to completion while working in a deadline-driven environment
- Successfully be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Be proactive - pitch ideas, be creative, bring your expertise to the table and elevate our content
- Be on top of industry trends in video and animation throughout digital media
- Integrate music, voice over, and sound effects to enhance video content.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of video and motion graphics experience, preferably in-house or at an agency
- Consistent track record of creating motion graphics, titles, and animations for various platforms including digital, broadcast, and social media.
- Proficiency Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma.
- Design/illustration experience is a huge plus
- Ability to be collaborative and flexible in working with complementary teams and with shifting priorities
- Experience working with Producers, Copywriters, Designers, and Management teams
- Great attention to detail, and an eye for color, composition, typography, lighting, and rhythm
- Extensive knowledge of post-production workflow and the latest post-production techniques
Location
- This role is hybrid out of our Hudson Yards NY location with 2 days in office weekly.
Salary Range
$79,350.00 - $130,365.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
