SharePoint Consultant

Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft SharePoint Consultant to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing SharePoint communications sites and solutions. This role requires expertise in creating wireframes, leading design efforts, and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality deliverables. The SharePoint Architect will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and create effective and scalable SharePoint solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. SharePoint Architecture and Design:

• Develop and implement SharePoint architecture to support business needs
• Create detailed design documents, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate SharePoint solutions
• Design and develop custom SharePoint solutions, including workflows, web parts, and apps
• Create digital assets including banner images and icons

1. Project Management and Collaboration:

• Work closely with project managers and marketing and event stakeholders to gather and define requirements
• Lead design workshops and meetings to ensure alignment on solution design and implementation

1. Development and Customization:

• Develop and customize SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and other components
• Integrate SharePoint with other enterprise systems and applications such as PowerBI, Microsoft Exchange, PowerQuery
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and comply with best practices

1. User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

• Develop and execute comprehensive UAT plans to validate solutions against requirements
• Collaborate with end-users to identify and resolve issues during UAT
• Document and communicate UAT findings to ensure successful solution deployment

1. Maintenance and Support:

• Monitor and maintain SharePoint environments to ensure optimal performance
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SharePoint-related issues
• Stay current with SharePoint updates, features, and best practices
• Provide basic training to clients for simple copy and image edits

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SharePoint architecture, design, and development
• Experience developing event-specific SharePoint communications sites a plus
• Proficiency in SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2013/2016/2019, and SharePoint Designer
• Experience with wireframe development and design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Balsamiq
• Strong understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes and methodologies
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies
• Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Automate, PowerBI, PowerQuery and other PowerApps
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects, with multiple clients, and drive to deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Certification or related certifications
• Experience with Office 365 and Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
