Academy of Art University is seeking a highly experienced IT Business Analyst to resolves a wide range of business process issues of moderate to complex scope.  The IT Business Analyst applies skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry-wide business processes, analysis practices and organizational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement and develop and implement solutions.
  • Document complex business processes and requirements and translate them into business process diagrams, use cases, flowcharts, and functional or technical specifications.
  • Analyze and identify impact of changed requirements or processes. Provide operational support by analyzing system behavior, exceptions or incidents to determine cause and identify options for remediation or workarounds.
  • Determine business and reporting requirements, working with the end-user community, and translate into technical specifications for development
  • Lead and perform the full range of testing activities for supported systems, applications, implementations, integrations and reports. 
  • Interact with various levels of the organization in a professional manner. Foster good relationships with business units.
  • Train end-users on new system functionality and customizations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues logged in Helpdesk system

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem solver and troubleshooter
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a can-do attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a higher education institution or university setting
  • Experience managing small or large-scale system implementation or integration projects
  • 2+ years of experience supporting PeopleSoft Student Administration or Financials or other SIS/ERP applications, including administering security and writing reports
  • Prior experience working with Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Prior experience with administering and configuring LMS, student portals, and syllabus management systems (e.g. Brightspace, CampusM, Simple Syllabus)

Remote position: (working PST hours)

Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm


Compensation:

Salary: $70,000 - $98,500 per year

annually based on experience and location

Academy of Art University is based solely in San Francisco, California. This job opportunity may be available for remote work from a predesignated location within the contiguous United States.
