We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining our web applications. You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable web applications using PHP
• Implement object-oriented programming principles and best practices
• Leverage design patterns (GOF and PHP-specific) to create reusable and maintainable code
• Work closely with designers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience
• Ensure code adheres to OWASP Top 10 security best practices to mitigate vulnerabilities
• Stay up-to-date on the latest PHP versions and their features
• Utilize a chosen PHP framework, preferably Laravel, to expedite development and leverage its functionalities
• Effectively use Git for version control and collaboration (experience with Bitbucket a plus)
• Implement and maintain a CI/CD pipeline for automated testing and deployment

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.

• 5+ years of experience as a professional PHP developer
• In-depth knowledge of PHP syntax, semantics, and best practices
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Familiarity with design patterns (GOF and PHP-specific)
• Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Experience with OWASP Top 10 security principles and secure coding practices
• Solid understanding and experience in Laravel framework applications
• Knowledge of other PHP frameworks is a plus
• Proficiency in Git for version control
• Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (bonus points for experience with specific tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bonus Points:

• Experience with API development (RESTful APIs)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit)
• Experience with Docker and containerization
