The Application Developer is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and testing new software solutions, modifying and enhancing existing solutions, and troubleshooting software problems reported by users.
The development environment is fast paced, with multiple projects being developed simultaneously. A strong team environment exists, where frequent collaboration and knowledge sharing is encouraged. Agile programming techniques are employed where appropriate.
Persons in this role are encouraged to be proactive; taking the initiative to design systems and processes that will benefit the immediate project as well as other related projects in the future. Developers must integrate legacy systems with new solutions developed using the latest technologies.
The Application Developer will work closely with other members of the Development Team, which include roles such as business analyst, quality assurance specialist, and other developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for high quality, bug-free development as per the coding standards in close collaboration and interaction with other members of the development/QA team.
- Participate in daily project scrum meetings and provide daily status report.
- Work with other members of the development team to examine feasibility, scope, and priority.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure appropriate timing of development/release for dependent software modules.
- Consult with QA staff on strategies for testing specific work items.
- Work with support team to resolve problems reported by users (identify the problem, develop short- and long-term solutions, communicate status to all appropriate parties).
- Mentor junior developers and help build knowledge base.
- Participate in peer reviews.
- Create technical documentation for completed solutions.
- Contribute to the success of the organization by helping others accomplish job results; learning new skills
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university in Computer Science field.
- 10+ years of software development and testing experience using .Net Core, NodeJS.
- Experience working with
- Expertise in SaaS
- Expertise in developing multi-tier applications.
- Experience with SQL (MSSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DocumentDB).
- Experience with these languages/technologies: C#, .NET MVC, SQL, API development and testing tools, Node.js, web layout interfaces and libraries, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, React
- Experience in Product Development.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Capable of system tuning, code optimization and bug solving.
- Familiar with source control principles and systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Working experience in agile team.
