A day in the life
The ASVAB Content Consultant will play a key role in developing and collaborating with the Correlation One content team to provide general guidance regarding the development of a full program curriculum for the ASVAB program in preparation for its start in September.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and expertise of the ASVAB exam. Candidates could have a background as a psychometrician, assessment designer, learning designer, or Army recruiter that has administered the ASVAB exam. This person is a quick learner, a diligent, conscientious contributor, and can work both collaboratively and independently.
Your objective is to build content and assessment questions to support this Army program. You would help write ASVAB-aligned assessment items that would become part of an admissions process.
Duration of the assignment:
We are looking for content consultants to join our team ASAP and the assignment runs until November. The time commitment is about 10 hours per week based on your schedule and the work is primarily asynchronous.
Responsibilities as a Consultant include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Curriculum advising: The consultant will work with other consultants as well as the Correlation One Content team to develop a syllabus, instructional materials for live sessions, and a set of learning objectives.
- Weekly and ad hoc meetings: Participate in weekly meetings with the C1 content team to ensure the team is on track to prepare all curriculum and related materials, answer questions, discuss any relevant decisions, etc.
- Write and edit course materials, such as lesson plans, presentations, and assessments, ensuring they align with established learning objectives and meet quality standards.
- Review and revise existing content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance, as well as adherence to accessibility and inclusivity guidelines.
- Work closely with the project team to ensure timely delivery of course materials, adhering to established deadlines and project milestones.
Your expertise
- 3-5 years of experience in ASVAB content development and assessment writing
- Fluent in English
- Ability and willingness to understand and use new learning and content management systems
- Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in education is preferred but not required
- Experience with learning and content management systems (preferred, but not required)
Where you are
- This is a remote position, with the ability to meet with our team for one hour per week (Eastern time)
Compensation
- An estimation of the range for this position is $30-$55/hr, depending on experience.
