Job description

As an intern with Mutual of Omaha, you’ll get a hands-on experience on how a Fortune 500 company runs its day-to-day business. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

 

  • Hourly Wage:
    • Undergraduate Finance Intern: $25.00
    • Graduate Finance Intern: $27.00 
  • Opportunity for direct admission to the next Finance and Accounting Development Program class.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

 

  • You’ll have the opportunity for professional and personal development outside of core role such as industry awareness, communication and presentation skills, critical thinking, priority management.
  • You’ll have direct participation in analysis across multiple areas of the company - compiling data, communicating your findings, and making an impact in key business decisions.
  • You’ll collaborate with other interns, mentors, and management on an end of summer capstone project.
  • You’ll complete challenging work and contribute to a Fortune 500 company.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

 

  • We’re looking for students who are enrolled in a degree program related to Accounting or Finance both before and after the internship.
  • Ability to analyze financial material/data and exercise judgment with management oversight.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Ability to work at our home office located in Omaha, Nebraska, in a hybrid environment or work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

 

  • Prior professional work or internship experience (suitable leadership experience in student organizations or university athletics will be considered).
