We are hiring a Consultant - Strategy to be a part of our growing organization. This is a full time remote opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the System Strategy team’s general analytics and strategic intelligence resource.
- Partner with Strategy leadership to build an analytical methodology for market attractiveness across the Ascension portfolio.
- Conduct the ground-up analysis market-level scans and market assessments for various growth opportunities across the enterprise
- Develop analyses related to ministry market strategic positioning, market conditions, service lines, competitor actions, and volume/market share trends.
- Work collaboratively with the Ascension Data Sciences Institute to ensure alignment of data tools that support strategic initiatives.
- Conduct research and analyses required to support the strategic decision making process, including utilization forecasts, capacity analyses and in-migration/out-migration studies.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and strong communication skills while solving complex problems in a dynamic healthcare ecosystem, substantiated by the ability to present clear proactive strategic opportunities and execution strategies backed by data.
- Complete assigned tasks, ad hoc requests, projects in accordance with assigned timeframes and present analyses and findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Exceptionally detail-oriented and highly-organized structured thinker who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate recommendations effectively (written & verbal) to executive and senior leadership in an concise, compelling manner
- Experience developing and executing enterprise and market based strategy in a large complex healthcare organization
- Experience working with operations to implement strategic initiatives
- Ability to create structure from ambiguous information and set forth an efficient approach to solve problems or answer questions
- Ability to multiple tasks at once, prioritize work, and deliver exceptional work product
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and influence those who do not directly report to you
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter (‘get it done’ attitude)
- Desire to be in a fast-paced role with a mindset of continuous improvement
- Healthcare consulting and health system corporate strategy experience preferred
Specific Position Qualifications:
- Exceptional understanding of healthcare industry dynamics - providers, payers, patients, etc. - and national competitive benchmarking
Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- 5 years of experience required.
- 10 years of experience preferred.
