Position Responsibilities

Deltek is seeking a skilled specialized Automation Engineer with expertise in API testing for ERP systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks for enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality ERP solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead initiatives to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and other development processes.
• Design and oversee the architecture of complex automation frameworks and tools.
• Continuously enhance test automation strategies to increase coverage and efficiency.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in automation practices.
• Write advanced test scripts to cover complex scenarios that off-the-shelf tools may not fully support.
• Provide mentorship to senior engineers and teams, guiding best practices and fostering professional development.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of proven experience in automation testing, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale automation solutions.
• Expertise in multiple automation tools and frameworks, with a deep understanding of the latest technologies.
• Experience in developing and refining overall strategies for API testing.
• Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for managing code.
• Experience with cloud-based ERP solutions.
• Experience with performance and security testing.
  
  
  

Technical Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Deep understanding of different types of APIs, including RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL, and WebSocket APIs.
• Expertise with popular API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, or RestAssured.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Good knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Certifications in relevant automation testing tools or ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
