About The Position
The Tax Analyst will assist in managing and analyzing the company’s tax-related activities. This role involves preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and supporting tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Your Day Might Look Like
- Prepare and provide information to our tax partners on federal, state, local and Canadian tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of tax provision calculations and documentations.
- Prepare monthly tax reconciliations for multiple divisions.
- Conduct research on tax regulations and assist in customer inquiries.
- Support tax audits by gathering and organizing documentation and responding to queries.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the company’s tax position.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for tax reporting and compliance.
- Assist with the preparation of documentation for tax credits and incentives.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records and files.
- Ad hoc accounting duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in tax preparation, compliance, or a related field, preferred experience in Software/Technology, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
