Join us in this newly created role as our Data Governance Leader and drive impactful data initiatives while shaping strategic data management practices across our global team.

What You Will Do  

Be part of the evolution as our Data Governance Leader. In this new position, you’ll be spearheading data governance initiatives and fostering strong stakeholder relationships globally. Your role will center on leveraging your expertise in data governance frameworks, data quality, data management tools to drive impactful data governance and strategic decision making across our global operations. You’ll work closely with our Sales Operations and Systems teams in the US and collaborate on global projects whilst working closely with our regionally based stakeholder groups to deliver value through locally driven requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify key data governance requirements and translate them into actionable frameworks and policies.

  • Develop and maintain robust data governance models, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.

  • Conduct in depth data governance assessments to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities that support strategic data initiatives.

  • Proactively monitor data governance processes and ensure compliance with established policies and standards.

  • Create and deliver compelling data governance presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide governance support, and offer data driven insights to support their decision making processes.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and data governance optimizations, and work closely with stakeholders to implement them.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data governance and data management tools.

  • Mentor and guide junior data analysts, providing technical expertise and promoting a culture of data driven decision making.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

  • Proven work experience as a Data Governance Specialist, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on data governance and stakeholder management.

  • Prior experience in the sales or marketing analytics domain is a plus.

  • Strong proficiency in data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMADMBOK), data quality management, and data management tools.

  • Extensive experience with data governance tools such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation, IBM InfoSphere, or Talend.

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

  • Strong skills in relational database management systems (RDBMS) like SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.

  • Expertise in designing and implementing data models to support business needs.

  • Knowledge of data security principles and practices to protect sensitive information.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets and present them in a clear and concise manner.

  • Experience with at least one object oriented programming language such as Python or R.

  • Proficiency with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, and Looker for data visualization and reporting.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex data governance findings to nontechnical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance related to data governance.

  • Strong project management skills to lead data governance initiatives and ensure timely delivery.

  • Ability to manage and drive change within the organization to adopt data governance practices.

  • Experience with metadata management tools and practices to ensure data lineage and traceability.

  • Knowledge of data stewardship roles and responsibilities to maintain data integrity and accuracy.

  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI techniques to enhance data governance processes is a plus.


 

About Your Location  

Work hybrid from our offices in the USA. You may be asked to travel on occasion across North America and internationally to other regions. You should therefore be willing and able to travel (Valid passport is required).
